Team Sports  Beginning in 1980, James P. Tasto, M.D., Steven Tradonsky, M.D., and associates have volunteered their time as team physicians for professional, collegiate and youth sports throughout San Diego County. Currently, SDSM physicians serve as the team physicians for the San Diego Gulls, who won their division championship the past two years. They function as team physicians for several US Olympic Teams including the U.S. Men's Volleyball Team. In addition, SDSM physicians assist well-known ultra-athletes and extreme athletes with their training programs.  SDSM physicians perform sports physicals; teach preventive methods for avoiding injury, offer excellent rehabilitation programs as perform state of the art surgical services to keep all types of athletes playing at their optimum ability.
