SDSM has implemented an innovative program for the specific treatment of tendon pain. Chronic tendonitis can manifest in many areas of the body which may include but are not limited to:

  • Shoulder (Rotator Cuff)
  • Ankle (Achilles Tendon)
  • Elbow (Tennis Elbow)
  • Heel , Foot (Plantar Fasciitis)
  • Knee (Patellar Tendonitis)
  • Wrist (DeQuervain’s, thumb)

Chronic tendon pain has been a difficult condition to treat successfully in the past. Dr. Tasto has been a pioneer in developing treatment for these conditions. Our office has the most advanced, state-of-the-art treatment options available to effectively treat these injuries. In addition to conventional treatment which consists of non-steroidal medication, bracing, injections, and physical therapy, we offer the following: Our tendon treatment center program includes non-invasive and minimally-invasive treatment options such as TOPAZ and Sonorex. TOPAZ is a procedure using radio frequency energy waves to reduce scar tissue and promote healing. Sonorex is Extracorporeal Shock Wave Treatment for chronic pain associated with tendinitis. SDSM is one of the few locations in North America treating patients with this shockwave therapy.

If you have been suffering from chronic tendon pain, please call our office to schedule a consultation to find out what your treatment options are.
